Generator
Manual Transfer Switch
Operating Instructions
1. Turn ALL circuit breakers off.
2. Start Generator per the manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Slide interlock and turn generator breaker on.
4. Turn circuit breakers on one at a time to avoid overloading the generator.
5. No more than 10 single pole 20-amp breakers should be on a time, possibly less.
6. Turning off individual appliances fed by breakers lowers the demand of the generator.
NOTE: Range, oven, furnace, and air conditioning CANNOT be run on generator power. Electric hot water heater can be operated if all other power use is at a minimum.
When Utility Power is Restored
1. Shut down generator per manufacturer’s instruction.
2. Turn off generator breaker.
3. Slide interlock.
4. Turn main breaker and all other branch breakers on.
Plugs Not Working
Trouble Shooting Instructions
Find the closest GFCI and hit reset button.
(GFCI’s are often located in wet locations, such as kitchen, bathroom, utility rooms, and garage for outside plugs.)
Cadet Heater Reset
Trouble Shooting Instructions
Remove screws from heater grill and pull off cover.
In the front of the motor is a reset button, hit the reset button.
We recommend you vacuum out your heaters every year.
Note: Do not place any objects in front of heater. This will cause the heater to automatically turn off.
